Kpémé Phosphate Works

The Rehabilitation of dry bulk handling facilities of the Kpémé Phosphate Works included the following installations and infrastructures: 

  • Three concrete railway bridges
  • An 800-meter-long steel railway bridge spanning over Lake Togo
  • Waterside dry bulk handling facilities for phosphate export consisting of a 1200-meter-long steel bridge for transporting phosphate by means of conveyor units, a platform with a distribution station, two steel ship-loading units and four mooring dolphins. 

These constructions were inspected to determine their condition, to draw up an inspection report with cost estimates and to prepare the tender documents. Assistance was furthermore given during the Tender Bid Phase, from elaboration and evaluating tenders up until the award of contract to a contractor.
