Bioethanol plant, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Planning application per German Federal Immission Control Act

The Spanish investor Abengoa Bioenergy (Sevilla) planned the construction of a new bioethanol plant in Poppendorf, near Rostock in northern Germany. Inros Lackner prepared the documentation for the planning application in the framework of an approval process in accordance with the country’s Federal Immission Control Act. This covered all structural elements on the 3.5-hectare site in relation to project planning, structural design, technical building systems design and civil engineering. Design-stage surveying was also carried out, as part of the basis for the planning application and the preliminary site investigation. The project included the construction of a central office, personnel and laboratory building. In the laboratory area, all material flows are examined, including grain deliveries, grain storage, ethanol production and drying processes for left-over materials.
