Cai Mep Logistic Park
Port area of Cai Mep, Vung Tau, Ba Ria, Vietnam

Cai Mep Logistics Park is expected to be the major logistics center which brings significant benefits not only for Ba Ria – Vung Tau province, Southern Vietnam area in terms of logistics service but also for international trade activities. With an area of about 800 ha, performing the role of an international transshipment- and transportation hub. The capacity of the Logistic park is to ensure the demand of handling goods of approximately 161.8 ÷ 195.5 million tons per year by 2030.  

The Mangrove forest in this area plays an important role for the eco-system in the southern Mekong region and is partly protected. Our “Islands” concept is formed by seven independent islands in this area keeping the original location of the waterways and creating a green buffer around the central island developments. Characterized by superblocks a decentralized connectivity is achieved by locating activities, programs, services, and integrated warehouses on central area and through placement of service hubs such as the administrative area, logistics and transport company offices and business center, complementary commercial services. Our concept was awarded the Second prize in an open urban planning competition.
