50hertz Office Building, Berlin
New headquarters for 50hertz

The future German headquarters of the transmission network operator 50hertz is being built in the Europacity district in the heart of Berlin, on an area of 8,145 m². The 14-storey building has a main structure of reinforced concrete columns and flat slabs. The building cores are not vertical, and the slanting external columns form a network-like structure of steel and composite elements.

Inros Lackner’s scope comprised the design of all formwork and reinforcement and the design of the composite columns construction that is integrated in the concrete structure. The walls and base slab of the basement level were constructed using waterproof concrete to prevent the ingress of water. In addition, the scope included planning and design services relating to the building’s technical equipment.

Gross floor area: approx. 29,500 m²
