A powerful urban design solution with symbolic value was required.
The railway company’s corporate headquarters is to be constructed next to Vienna’s planned new main train station. The objective of the competition was to develop an outstanding design concept which would establish optimal work and communication conditions for 1,600 company employees and also provide additional office space for others. An architecturally memorable urban design solution with symbolic value was required, which would integrate well with the railway station construction project.
