Office and administration building, Rostock
A major Rostock housing association, the Wohnungsgenossenschaft (WG) Schiffahrt-Hafen, is extending its headquarters on the city’s Goerdeler Street, with a new three-storey office and administration building being built, of solid non-prefabricated construction, across from the existing building. A shared entrance foyer connects the two buildings at ground level. Together, the buildings form an ensemble that opens itself up to those who approach it. Generously glazed façade in the office and consultation parts of the building and in the entrance foyer provide views into the building and out to the green landscaped external areas. The new building will create a modern working environment, with sustainable solutions in the field of building and equipment technology implemented.
